She oversees research-driven sourcing, evaluates market structure and founder execution risk, and shapes portfolio construction, bringing structure and consistency to decision-making in complex, under-mapped African markets. Her work ensures Velocity identifies companies with both asymmetric upside and realistic pathways to scale and exit.

Margaret brings over a decade of corporate finance experience, having specialized in global pricing and commercial strategy at Fortune 500 companies before transitioning into venture capital. She began her VC career working with U.S.-based emerging fund managers, gaining exposure across the full fund lifecycle, fundraising, diligence, governance, and portfolio strategy.

She later co-founded Benue Capital, an early-stage syndicate mobilizing local and diaspora capital into Ugandan startups, and went on to found Sati (Sourcing Africa to Invest), a research and advisory platform supporting capital allocators in launching and running syndicates efficiently, while helping founders develop investor-ready narratives.
